We would love to open a new STEAM lab in the Kindergarten Mod to give our kiddos more experiences with STEAM activities. We will be able to go to the lab in order to learn about engineering, sciences, math, language and literacy, and the arts. The STEAM Lab will build out students' problem solving skills, collaborative skills, creativity and higher order thinking and communication skills. Students will use magnetic building blocks to build different types of buildings, towns or cities enhancing their creative skills and problem solving skills. They will have to work in team to do these builds, thus strengthening their team and collaborative skills. We will use connective straws to have a different material to build as well. The Learning Resource Mental Blox will be used to build students' problem solving and higher order thinking skills, as well as collaborative skills. All of these resources and materials will be used to expand our students' creativity, problem solving, and collaborative skills.
