Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning and make the choices that work best for them. Making sure students are comfortable is an essential component in motivating them. I have noticed amazing differences in my students when they are given a choice in their seating. My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given a choice of where to work. In my classroom, I have utilized cushioned crate chairs, wobble cushions, lap-desks, wobble stools, and stools. With these past school years being incredibly different from years past, I have seen just how important flexible seating can be in each students learning. These yoga ball chairs can be the perfect option for my students that need to be moving during their work times, but due to Covid have to remain in their seats. These will be extremely beneficial for my students that just need to get the wiggles out! I have seen how flexible seating can positively affect my students' work and demeanor and hope that the additional options will help us grow even more!
