The requested workstation materials will give my students the opportunity to engage in exciting activities on their performance level while still improving previously taught skills. Students will be able to practice essential phonics and reading skills in small groups using hands-on materials. Learning through play will take on a new and improved meaning with the phonics workstations. Students will be able to feel more confident and accomplished with academic material as they get to practice with the different workstation materials each day. The Fire tablets will add technology into independent learning time allowing students to engage with various different applications that can target several skills at once. The tablets will also allow students to use a tool that is commonly found in their everyday lives. This will ease them and allow them to explore their newly learned skills freely and excitedly. Each of the requested materials will change our classroom drastically. We will have resources to support our eager desire to learn all we can.
