Students have the very rare opportunity to take their creativity to new heights with new technology that our school has received. They have been working with Tintype style photography and would love to see their Civil War inspired projects come to life through the process of metal engraving with the Glowforge. With these materials, students will be able to examine, first hand, what photography during the Civil War would have been like. Utilizing iPads in the art room, students will be able to step into the shoes of a professional photographer as they collaborate with one another to take high quality photos in the style of Tintype. These photos will be transformed into REAL Tintypes, using the Glowforge, and materials funded by this project. Students will find pride in their work through the public presentation of these Tintypes.
