Day of the Dead project is complex. It starts by explaining the significance and importance of one of Latin America's most popular holidays. It connects my students to their culture and brings relevance to their learning experience. We will be creating an altar using air dry clay to make skulls resembling sugar skulls that are an integral element of the holiday, we also make skeletons out of clay. The sugar skulls usually come decorated in bright colors. Students will use colored paper to make marigold flowers. It is believed that this particular flower attracts the spirits of the departed loved ones.
