This project will help teachers revolutionize teaching and learning at PMS. The Chromebooks will allow teachers to personalize learning which will help close achievement gaps. Teachers will be able to empower students with student-centered learning activities. These activities will engage students and allow them to take part in lessons that would be impossible to do without Chromebooks. The Chromebooks provide teachers the opportunity to assess students online with formative and summative assessments. The data will be accessed instantly and will drive teacher instruction. Chromebooks will allow students to complete project-based lessons that will connect multiple disciplines and relate the content to the real-world. Students will be able to use the Chromebooks to access experts in all topic areas. Finally, having Chromebooks will provide students with the opportunity to practice our state MCAS tests. All MCAS tests are administered online and students need to practice taking these assessments so that the tests accurately assess their subject matter knowledge rather than their ability/lack of ability to utilize a device.
