My biggest issue with last year was not the masks, or the distance learning, or the multiple schedule switches... it was the fact the I couldn't share my diverse classroom library with my students. I have worked hard to provide a wide range of tangible books to my students. I truly believe that EVERY child can learn to love reading if given the chance to find their niche. Children need to be immersed in a print rich classroom AND have the space and time to read...and read...and read, until they find their groove. This year my students will, once again, be given access to my library and I would love to provide them with a couple of comfortable bean bag chairs, and a soft carpet to read their hearts out!
