My ceramics sculptures project will help students discover a new way to express themselves. Often their art experiences have been limited to paper, pencils, crayons, and paint. Using clay offers a new dimension literally. Students that may not be successful in drawing and painting will find that they are talented sculpture artists. The sculpture project will begin a ceramic mask. After it is fired in the kiln, students will use the glazes to finish their creative masterpieces. Due to budget cuts, my art students may not get to explore using clay as an art medium. These sculptures offer students a wide variety of ways to be creative and expressive in their art. Students can also put it on display in their homes and be reminded of their hard work and creative talents. Please donate and let these students shine!
