Hi everyone! I'm Ms. S, and I am thrilled to be a third grade teacher! I have a classroom filled with 26 excited third-graders. I currently teach in a Title I district where most of the school's population comes from low-income households. While these children are eager to learn, they do not always have the materials available to them. With your help, I would like to be able to improve the lives of my students in an educational manner. Students will be able to learn through interactive math and spelling games that will increase student interest while also allowing them to have fun while they learn! I also have asked for "buzzers" so students can play fun games without calling out; they can just hit their buzzer when they have answer! The engaging "whisper phones" will promote fluency in reading while allowing them to have some fun! I also have asked for donations that will allow students to complete projects and display their work proudly. Many of my students are unfamiliar with plants and animals and have minimal access to museums. Therefore, these fun science activities would allow students to be more aware and bring the "museum" to the classroom. Students will be able to learn about butterflies and raise them, grow different experiments, etc. This will increase their academic confidence and leave them eager to do more. I also am seeking to provide my students with fun seating arrangements and activities so that they can get up and moving and feel involved in their learning! One of the seating arrangments I have asked to be donated are the "bouncy balls" for my independent reading table. Students can enjoy sitting on fun objects while learning! Once my students become more confident in learning, the sky is the limit!
