Building the Greenpower car will allow our students to make a connection between knowledge gained in core classes and careers in Engineering and Technology. The items we are asking for will allow them to compete on a higher level using technology. Students will be able to monitor battery usage with the battery tester and monitor the speed of the car with the bike speedometer. The student Data Manager will use the information gathered from the two devices to make adjustments to the car and provide a variety of opportunities for math exploration. Other students are learning basic electrical concepts, geometry, increasing their interviewing skills, and designing skills. According to the guidelines, the coveralls are needed for students who will be driving. Students will have the greatest chance to understand the engineering design cycle of projects created in the real world.
