Teen anxiety is on the rise. Every day we are dealing with several students who are stressed, overwhelmed, and anxious. The purpose of our Cowboy Hideout is to provide a supportive environment that will assist in self-regulating their feelings. The intention of this space is to empower students to build strategies to manage their emotions and take a reset in the calming room so they can be better prepared for learning and interacting with others. The space will have several tactile, visual and auditory stimuli for the students to access. I am excited to have this space available for all of our students.
