Many high school students are busy with homework, extracurricular activities, and after school jobs. They rarely have time to sit down, relax, and be a kid. One place they can come to sit and relax is the library. However, the primary material we have to offer is books. This project will provide board and card games for students to play in their free time not only while they are at school, but also at home through a new checkout process. I would love to give students a little taste of their childhood back. By purchasing strategy games as well as classic board games, students will have a variety of games to choose from, whether they want to challenge their minds, socialize with friends, or play a classic game from their elementary days. Students have too much going on in their lives right now, and this will give them an opportunity and resources needed to help them de-stress.
