The sand and water table is engaging and fun and contributes to higher-level learning. It will allow my students sensory exploration and learning mathematical concepts with introductions to higher-level thinking concepts like volume. The sand and water table will be a great introduction for my students to many scientific concepts, such as early physics concepts like motion and flowing water. My students will have opportunities to make predictions about what objects will sink in the water and which items will float. The sand and water table will introduce discussions about living and non-living items, as well as animal habitats. My students will be given opportunities to explore and investigate in an engaging, hands-on manner.

About my class
