The majority of our students choose our school because we are a small school (150 students) so it is a better fit for them. Many of our students have poor social skills, high anxiety, depression, self-harming behaviors, anger and identity, and gender issues. I have done needs assessments to target areas with the most need and want to create groups and provide resources for students to address their mental health needs. That, in turn, will lead to better attendance and improve concentration in the classroom. I want to help students discover ways of coping that will help them live their best life.
