These science books will continue to enhance the literature-rich classroom that I strive to create. My students use the classroom library every day to self-select engaging books, but my library does not currently have enough of the informational text that my students are drawn to! Current and high-interest science reading material is what my classroom library needs. Not only will these books help expand my students' scientific knowledge, but they will also help students become more proficient readers. By reading informational science books with topics of interest to them they will make significant strides in reading while engaged in critical thinking about science concepts in today's world.
