By incorporating a projector into our classroom, I can share the world of art with my students on a much bigger scale. It will allow me to create PowerPoint presentations for artists we study. This lets my students experience a much broader scope of work for each artist, as opposed to showing them two to three works printed on paper and hung on the bulletin board. One of our goals this year is to share the student’s work with a broader audience. This will encourage them to be more thoughtful about their results and take ownership of their art. By incorporating an iPad into our art classroom, student work can be uploaded to an online digital portfolio that can be shared (with parent permission) with friends and relatives. As an added bonus, the iPad can also be used to research various artists or to design digitally through one of the many art design apps.
