As my students sat and stared at me while I flipped the slides of my Powerpoint, I was suddenly struck with the realization that my students were not enjoying my lesson. Their blank faces and empty note pages inspired me to search for a way to bring my passion for science to my students. Enter "MergeCube". When I found this amazing interactive cube, I knew exactly how to spend the money that I get from the county for my classroom. However, the iPads that we possess in our school do not have the capability to support the "MergeCube" app.
My students need iPads that will allow them to access this 3-dimensional technology to bring them into the 21st century. The new iPads will allow the students to see different principles of biology in the newest most exciting way possible. Students will be able to dissect parts of the human body virtually on the iPad. They will be able to manipulate different parts of an animal or plant cell on their screen so that they can truly understand the principles and vocabulary that we are learning in class.
Using the latest technology integrated with the use of the latest ipads will allow my students to learn on a level that is both interesting, creative, and beneficial to the way they interact with science and other STEM-related coursework.
