Research has shown that having a classroom cozy library is very beneficial for students. It is evident that having a functional classroom library supports reading and writing instruction. It also provides a place for children to learn about books. A library is also an organized central location in a classroom for instructional resources. It also allows for independent reading, personal exploration, and project research. The effective classroom library also functions as a gathering spot where students and teachers can express their lives as readers. It also helps as a calming spot that students can go and reflect on a behavior that is not acceptable in a classroom. By having a rug area in my classroom, my students will be able to sit and lay down on a floor when I am doing group read a loud circles. Also, it will help them out during our Reading Center. The bean chair bags will help by promoting relaxation specially for those students with special needs. It will also help with sensory skills.
