These iPads will give my scholars the opportunity to enter the world of technology. A world that is not available to them at home. They live in a high poverty area that is way behind in the area of technology. I know that it will open up a world to them that will allow them to thrive. It will help them advance in technology which will be very critical in providing them a successful future. It will give them the opportunity to work individually with technology in the lessons that we have done together. We have a SMARTboard in our classroom that they absolutely love. To actually have an iPad in their hands would unleash their success. Many of them have difficulty with communication and the iPad has programs that could assist in this area. It would give them another opportunity to reach a positive future. These scholars have many negatives against them already. Please help to make their education a positive experience. A bright light in their somewhat dark world.
