My students will greatly benefit from opportunities to take turns with one another. With these materials we will be able to focus our group time on sharing materials and interaction skills. The hands on materials will encourage participation. The stories will be focused on either familiar tales, or about building strong citizenship characteristics. We have a prime opportunity to reach out to the young children in our care and develop a deeper understanding within them about how to work productively with others. This year our children show a need in playing together and having difficulty taking turns. We are asking for these materials so we can focus our together time and our reading center on positive role models, multiculturalism, and materials that encourage taking turns.
