Students will improve science literacy through a digital resource called BrainPop and improve science notebooks with classroom supplies. Science is an interactive and hands on class where learning happens through their own discoveries. However, science vocabulary and concepts are reinforced with digital media to bring concepts to life and further concepts and understanding. BrainPOP will be used almost daily to review science vocabulary and concepts and make graphical models. These practices build understanding after initial discoveries are made. Classroom supplies will be used to improve student engagement with science notebooks and using white boards to express science thinking. Students use white boards to share their own thinking in their own words.
