I want to create a learning environment in which all my students feel successful, especially in the area of reading. Reading allows my students to let their imagination soar and take them to places far beyond the classroom. Reading is the key to success both inside and outside of the classroom. With these new books and book boxes, my students will be able to choose books of interest to them as well as ones on their independent reading level. I asked my students what books they would like to have in our library, watched what they select from the library, and have researched books that are appropriate for every learner in my class. The materials I am asking for will allow my students to easily have access to books on their independent reading level and allow them to feel success.
