The donation you are giving will help provide a wide range of activities for our students to engage in for our first ever esports team. Through the development of this team, students will build skills around teamwork, leadership, handling criticism, dealing with success and failure, work ethic, and commitment. These materials will allow students to engage in live streaming, announcing, collaborative gaming, and graphic design, which we believe provide a groundwork for future success, as they are career-connected to a variety of fields and serve as an engaging context for students. Knowing there is a positive relationship between extra curricular activity and student achievement, our program aims to give students another reason to be excited for school each day. Our esports team will provide opportunities to build new relationships, obtain scholarships, and create a connected team between both of the two high schools in our district. Aside from the esports team, these computers will benefit other students who are not on the competitive team, as they will have the opportunity to participate in open studio days as well. We are currently short 5 computers for our team to be fully running, and hope you see the potential in this project as much as our students do!
