Do you know what the most frustrating thing about teaching Math is? It is getting students to show their problem-solving strategies, or as we tell them "Show your work!" My students already have access to iPads on a one-to-one basis. The Apple Pencils will complement their Math learning beyond the use of iPads for playing games, watching videos, and recording themselves. Because my students are fourth and fifth-graders, they require extra motivation to show their work and their thinking. What a better way to get students excited about showing what they know than by incorporating the latest technology, Apple Pencils. With these Apple Pencils, I plan on incorporating a variety of challenging, engaging, and interactive Math activities during which they will show their problem-solving strategies and thinking process. I believe that this is the perfect solution to moving away from paper-pencil activities. My students are more than ready for a change and challenge. I know that these Apple Pencils will stir their interest in excelling in Math. P.S. An added bonus, my students will not stress over not having an eraser or a sharpened pencil!
