This project will add a new dimension to our Computer Science learning. Using rhythm instruments, students will be able to experience patterns, loops, and decomposition (all computer science skills) first-hand in a physical and auditory way. The integration of music into the STEM classroom will provide a new way to learn and practice the computational thinking necessary to grow as a computer scientist. As a small school, we do not have a dedicated music program. In addition to supporting computational thinking at all levels, this project will bring music into our school in a way that seamlessly integrates into our teaching practices.

About my class
