A classroom rug will allow my students to have their own learning space. My meeting area allows my students to build a collaborative community during our whole group and small group instruction times. We use this area during Math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies each day. With this new rug, my students will have the freedom to comfortably sit on our classroom floor while interacting with each other and using our active board. This classroom rug will create a cozy environment to help foster the "family feeling" atmosphere that I strive so hard to create. My goal is to create an environment of students who are not only free thinkers, but also have a sense compassion for their fellow classmates.
