Modeling is a key teaching strategy in my first grade classroom. Students are able to watch how I process information, giving them a strategy to use independently. A large whiteboard easel enables me to show my work. It also helps me work with my students in their learning. It is crucial element while teaching my students. Listening to reading is a major component while learning to read. Students use the CD players and books on CD to practice listening comprehension. It also helps them hear good fluency. Above all, listening to books on CD is fun! It helps students fall in love with reading!
