The materials that I have requested will make a difference in the learning by providing the students with snacks throughout the day and when needed. Many of the student are hungry in the morning and not able to focus on completing classwork. It is also very hard for the student to focus in the classroom because many of them are already thinking of their home lives and all the other issues going on. I have also included a printer for the meetings I have with parents. It is important that I have the information readily available for all parents when servicing special needs students. Although many of the students are hungry when coming to school, others have disabilities and health needs that require them to snack and drink plenty of water. As a teacher, I try my best to make learning in the classroom as accessible as possible for the students, which means eliminating hunger needs so that academics are the focus.
