Research is showing us again and again how powerful phonics instruction is in the foundational grades. These games will give my students a chance to independently practice the phonics skills they are learning in my instruction. The games are hands-on, interactive and fun! I plan to use these during a phonics rotation during our day, so the students are playing with their classmates while I can pull small groups. The games I've chosen will help them build, read and write words using phonics I've directly taught (CVC words, vowel teams, vowel patterns, blends, etc.)
