In 6th grade we challenge our students to read 40 books throughout the year. They need to read different genres of books in order to open up their options for reading. Sometimes, students don't know they like a genre until they've actually tried it! I try to teach students to be LIFE LONG LEARNERS! If we are reading, we are learning. Reading helps students become better readers and writers. We do book commercials in the class to share the books we've read and loved! This also helps give other students reading ideas. These books will give students more options of books to read in our CLASS LIBRARY!
