These books will enrich my students' lives while they are in their second home. Our classroom library space is my students' favorite. They can't wait their turn to read on the carpet with a pillow, lay back and relax with a good book. It is their way to escape with their favorite characters and make memories and grow as fluent readers when pair reading with another classmate. These are the books, the characters, and the authors my third graders have shown interest in. These books will serve the third grade level needs of my students and provide them with choices. Independent reading is there time to make decisions as readers. Filling up their individual book bins gives them a sense of ownership- they pick their book, they make the choice. My students have shown me that with a good fit book, they will never want to put it down.
