With this selection of books, student engagement will increase. Students will be able to choose a book on their level that has a great deal of interest to them. Research has proved that the more a student reads, the better reader they become. I always try to have entertaining and educational books in my classroom library that will inspire them to become better readers and hold their interest. The classroom library is essential to provide students with the opportunity to read a variety of high-interest books on their level that they may not have access to at home. Students are able to choose a book and read it during free time in the classroom. I give students D.E.A.R. time and having access to the books in the classroom provides them with extra reading time!
