The books that I am requesting will help my students this year and for years to come. As a first year teacher, I do not have many books. Therefore, these books will mean the world to my students and I. A read aloud book can take a child to another place. Books can do so much more than teach a child to read. They can teach a child about kindness, friends, family and they can even help a child explore the world. Books teach about things that children can't see, or touch sometimes. It can change how they view the world around them. The classroom library is a place in the class that the students love. They treat the books with care and respect, and they love every one of them. I know they would be ecstatic if they walked in one day to new books. With these new books, students will have a variety that will help them read, explore and discover their passions!
