When working with students with disabilities, I have learned that seating can have a positive or negative impact on student learning. I noticed that my students were actively engaged in classrooms that provided them with Flexible seating. My students are always trying to get to the special seats in the classroom like the balance balls, wobble chairs, etc. However, I have never seen them light up as much as they did when they first used a Jupiter chair. They took their time to admire the chairs and then sat at the tables with hope and joy in their eyes. They began doing their work without even being asked. I want to see my students' eyes shine every time they enter my classroom. I want them to enjoy learning and be comfortable at the same time.
