Movement activities happen in every single music lesson. These students love to move, groove, and pat out a beat. With a class set of djembes, I will be able to supply each child in the classroom with an instrument of their own. They will be able to play rhythms that are challenging and exciting. They will also learn how to create rhythms of their own and hear their creations played by the whole class. Teaching rhythm through hands-on experiences will not only help students to grasp the fundamental concepts of music but also inspire confidence and creativity. I would be able to include more activities in my lessons where the students will play together and at different times. These activities will foster independence and group collaboration.
