My students love to move and sit all over the place while learning, specifically when reading. I want to create a comfortable environment where they have the freedom to sit or move as they wish. My energetic second graders would benefit from flexible seating so they are comfortable and able to sit in ways that will better meet their individual learning needs. As an adult I have a difficult time sitting in one chair or place for a long period of time so I can only imagine what my second graders feel like as they sit at their tables all day long.
