We are currently working on making a variety of different types and styles of pumpkins to show size, shading and distance to give it a 3D effect. We have drawn with glue and painted them or used crayons to learn how to use a burnishing technique. The paper we need will be painted on as well as glued and erased with different types of media and then posted on a popular children's art website to allow extended family a chance to enjoy what is going on in my artists world. Learning to work on bigger paper helps students broaden their vision and helps to implement different strategies within their art. The sharpies help to emphasize lines and the pastels can show a unique texture within their colors.
