The tablets will be a great asset in my technology center to help my scholars with letter recognition and letter sounds as well as allowing my scholars to practice with reading apps; such as Khan Academy, Kindergarten Math & Reading, Homer Reading: learn to read. In addition; there are apps that will help with math; 1 to 1 correspondents, patterns, number recognition and plenty of other programs. The new tablets will help enhance their technology and reading skills as well as give each scholar exposure to new opportunities. Almost all kids learn their best when they interact with their learning tools, and the touchscreen on a tablet is perfect for kids because it keeps them engaged with the task at hand. Whether it's drawing, mathematical problems, or science, they will learn more (and at a faster rate,) than when they use textbooks.
