Finishing elementary school is a unique transition for 10 and 11 year old children. The thought of leaving the only place where students have known their education to take place brings about a roller coaster of emotions. To make the transition from elementary school to middle school a little easier, I want to give my students the opportunity to participate in a legacy project. This project will give the 5th grade classes the chance to paint a rock that will be a symbol of the lasting impact they have had at their school. In this project students will be given a rock, and they will be asked to paint something on the rock that represents their time in elementary school. By donating to this project, you will not only provide students with the supplies to create, you will give the students the chance to leave a symbol behind that holds a memory from their elementary years. Thank you!
