This podium will allow me to get out from behind my desk and give students instruction where I can make eye contact and read student body language during the lesson reteach as necessary. It will also allow me to monitor student collaboration during "turn and talk" opportunities during the lesson. In addition, I will have a clear view point to keep students on task and monitor inappropriate cell phone use in class. This podium will greatly support my needs during instruction and in turn offer better instruction to students as I increase my engagement with students and their engagement with me, each other and the content.

About my class
