I am looking to start up a Chess Club at my school. These sets would be used in school to help teach my students the importance of looking at the big picture and the importance of planning and strategy, not only in the game but also in real life. By donating to this project, you are contributing to the effort of developing crucial thinking skills, such as abstract thinking, patience, sportsmanship, creative thinking, and pattern recognition. Studies have shown that an engagement in a Chess program can lead to an increase in student achievement in and out of the classroom.

About my class
