Performers from the advanced orchestra, mariachi, and band at Sierra 2-8 will travel to Anaheim, CA to perform for judges ratings and rank among other groups from the region, at Music in the Parks festival. This experience has proven to be a chance for personal growth, responsibility, and leadership. Students who participated in the past have lasting friendships and memories to carry with them into high school and adulthood. It is incredible to watch the students travel out of state without their parents, likely for the very first time. They get their very first taste of adulthood​ and rise to the challenge of personal responsibility. This is a project that provides many benefits inside and outside of the music world.

About my class
