So much focus has been put on the use of technology in the classroom. However, my students have not been able to experience the joy of having access to such a luxury. I would love for them to be able to explore through the world web. Most students will bore very easily if they are subject to paper and pencil assignments all the time. There are so many opportunities to enhance their learning if laptops or computers are available inside the classroom. I want to be able to really help fulfill the curiosity of their little minds. Not only that, I would like them to be able to work on specific skills that they lack during small-group time. There are so many online programs to use that can improve areas where they are lacking necessary skills. Plus, the ability to research an item that is not fully understood can be done specifically by students. Most of the students don't have laptops or computers at home, so it is difficult for them to be able to use programs, find answers, or enjoy learning through technology. These Chromebooks would help to bring a whole new world to them.
