Our school library is very large and dark and is need of a facelift! My students and I are working on a multi-year project to paint umbrellas that will become part of a permanent installation hung upside down from the library ceiling. By participating in our painted umbrella project my students will learn to be part of a team and actively collaborate with others to create a permanent piece of public art! Plan, collaborate, assess, apply and create, these are just a few things that my students will to as they create their umbrellas together.

About my class
