My students are a wonderful group who are all at different academic levels. This requires finding the best way each student to learn. Some learn best when they touch and create, some when the lesson is set to music, and some process best when they use their whole body. Being part of a fantastic charter school means that I can use many different forums - and that includes art projects - to provide a differentiated education to children who are willing to work to their fullest potential! I feel that when you can use many resources to make learning fun, children retain more and want to learn more. Unfortunately, these "fun" learning ideas get left by the wayside because there just isn't enough money in the budget to cover things like glitter and googly eyes. ("E" is so much more interesting to learn covered in googly eyes!)
