The use of these materials will help develop my students' ability to interact with letters and books in a meaningful way. The light table will allow students to build letters and words. Students in my classroom love the alphabet, but it is my job to inspire them to go from rote knowledge of letters to young readers. The light table will help develop this interest in learning sounds and creating letter blends, while the binding machine will help me adapt books to engage my scholars. Further, social stories will be created to help students develop their social and emotional skills. Literacy is an important part of child development. By supporting this initiative, you are helping students learn that they matter and giving them the tools to spell their names, read, and contribute to the world!
