I want to encourage my students to read more! I wanted to add some really good book options to my small class library. What better way then to include books that mirror the diversity of my classes?!? I want students to be able to read books from diverse authors who share diverse stories. Students will have the opportunity to read both in class and at home. Not only will students be able to choose stories that interest them, but they will be working on developing their reading skills. I am also hoping to even encourage students to start a book club that focuses on the diversity of our community.
