I have the great and awesome responsibility of teaching 125 eighth graders at a middle school. My students come from all walks of life, the majority being lower-income Hispanic. Approximately 90% of our middle schoolers are on free and reduced lunches. Even though we are a Title I school, we constantly encourage our students to aim high. We engage them in higher level activities and strive to open other avenues of learning in order for them to realize their dreams can become reality.

About my class
