My students love using musical instruments to show off their skills and express themselves. Different instruments create different sounds, and in turn, provide different experiences. Having something tangible to hold in their hands increases concentration. Students who struggle can learn from their peers, encouraging teamwork. I want each one of these children to have the most fulfilling music classes they possibly can. More exposure to new kinds of musical instruments will broaden my students repertoire and allow them to perform together as a group. Instruments that change pitch are also essential. Xylophones are a great way to provide all of these to my classes.
