Right now, I have 13 ukuleles and would love to have a class set of 25 so that students do not have to share. The goal is to put a ukulele in every hand so students can learn independently. I will be using the instruments on a weekly basis when I see my 5th grade students. They will follow along with our Quavermusic.com curriculum ukulele unit and learn to play several different pitches and 3 different chords. This will give them the tools they need to play accompaniments to a number of different songs. My students already have the opportunity to learn to play the recorder, a woodwind instrument, and this would give them the chance to learn a new instrument family--strings!
